Birthday Surprise

"Tasteless"

submission: Birthday Surprise
date: June 23, 2008

This was truly a tasteless piece of work. I mean, I could understand if you were making a point, but there was no point made. I could understand if you were trying to prove that this was a normal thing that people should embrace. But you're obviously as weirded out by it as anyone else. What were you thinking? I don't understand how it's getting tens. But it doesn't deserve them, to be blatantly honest with you.

Boxes Toy

"Seems like a case of"

submission: Boxes Toy
date: June 19, 2008

creator love, wherein you love your own creations primarily because they're your own. I've written many a poem that I thought was beautiful, until others pointed out to me how worthless they were. On the positive side, kudos for making so many different types of boxes. On the negative side, you could've made a game out of it. Or even had hidden stuff. (You might've had hidden stuff that I didn't find, in which case it deserves probably another star or two... but if that's the case, maybe you should indicate that there are some surprises, or something...) You might even have made options we could set, like for the multiplying box: how many to multiply each time, etc etc... Sure, this all requires a little more programming and thought, but that's what sets apart worthwhile flash from junk flash.

Make a piece of paper

"Pointless, basic, unimaginative"

date: June 19, 2008

There are a bunch of different types of paper. There is parchment, rice paper, awards paper, tagboard, construction paper, sketch paper, and notebook (lined) paper, to name a few off the top of my head. There are also a variety of SIZES of paper. Why is it that, out of the world of paper, you had to pick a plain white piece of unlined paper? And how come you couldn't throw in a cute little narrator to walk us through everything? Honestly, it doesn't seem like much imagination went in to making this. I probably would've just left this in my personal learning files and left it at that. On the plus side, you do "draw" a convincing sheet of blank white nondescript paper. ;-)

Delta Fusion

"I enjoyed it..."

submission: Delta Fusion
date: June 18, 2008

I thought this was a fun game. Took a little bit to get used to the "triangle" thing... Plus, what's BMG, in the pause menu? Back-music-ground? :-P (Or did I just make myself look really stupid in front of a lot of people?)

DayMare Town

"Simply beautiful"

submission: DayMare Town
date: June 5, 2008

This is a truly tasteful game. I don't know where these people get off saying that "it needs color." It's not supposed to have color. That's the point. It's a certain style, people. Seriously.
As far as the "difficulty" level: have you guys EVER played a point and click game before? It's not satisfying if you have all the answers right there in front of you. Then it's like "here's a picture, click on the pretty glowing things"... and who wants that!?
Scary? Really? I found those little guys to be absolutely adorable and quite charming. Haha.
The melancholic (is that a word?) mood, and the scribbly complexity of the game make it all a perfectly enjoyable way to spend a whole day at work. :-D

The Suspicious Cop

"...what?"

submission: The Suspicious Cop
date: April 14, 2008

I didn't feel like I was "exploring his psyche" or like I was trying to pull a fast one on him. I felt like I was just doing it over and over again until I could push the buttons in the right order... I was not happy that crying was one of the ways out. I mean, seriously, what kind of cop honestly lets someone go for CRYING!?!? I mean, everyone's always like "just cry, the cop'll let you go..." but, you think they don't see that every other time they pull someone over? What, you think the cop's afraid you're gonna' go commit suicide or something over a lousy speeding ticket!? Seriously...

Bill the Robot

"Only a few things"

submission: Bill the Robot
date: April 9, 2008

There are only a few things I'd do to make this better: make it faster, remove the drag/drop interface-click to add to line. To change between interfaces, click which interface you want to add to, then click command. Maybe make a cooler looking robot... but that's just aesthetics... :-D

Inverse Shoot'em up

"Thanks"

date: April 9, 2008

for making me feel even worse. It wasn't enough for game devs when I couldn't beat the base as the starship, now I can't beat the starship as the base!? What madness is this! I liked the game. Fun. Interesting concept.

Bubble Tanks

"Is there ever an end?"

submission: Bubble Tanks
date: April 9, 2008

I really like this game. But I wanna' be able to shoot the little "bunny" rockets. Lol. I think it'd be neat to have some massive bubble-bosses. Maybe a bubble rts is in line here. I would LOVE to command my massive force of bubble tanks into war against the other bubbles, in little bubble planets. Powerups would be cool...

"Wow."

date: April 3, 2008

I wanna' see the rest of this one. I actually found myself intrigued, and that is no small feat. (Or maybe it is...) Either way, I liked this a lot. Definitely ten stars. But you need to finish it, or else I leave nasty reviews on you forever :-P
